Office closed on Monday 2 March 2026

The ACT Leave office will be closed for in-person assistance while we undertake building maintenance on Monday 2 March 2026.

We’re still here to help you with your portable long service leave needs – call 02 6247 3900, email enquiry@actleave.act.gov.au or visit our website for assistance.

Our office will be open as normal from Tuesday 3 March 2026.

Changes to Quarterly Return Calendars

Please be advised that the ACT Government has updated its declaration of public holidays for April 2026, with an additional public holiday added for Saturday 25 April 2026, alongside the existing public holiday on Monday 27 April 2026.

The quarterly return calendars have been updated to reflect this change.

New Services Industry Scheme

Portable Long Service Leave has been expanded to allow workers in the hairdressing, beauty, accommodation and food services industries to accrue long service leave. The new scheme will start in April 2025.
