There’s been an update to the rate of interest for contractors operating in our portable long service leave schemes.

Important update: Changes to the Services Industry Scheme
On 20 March 2025 the Minister for Skills, Training and Industrial Relations announced changes to the upcoming Services Industry Scheme. 

From 1 April 2025 the Contract Cleaning Industry Scheme will transition into the new Services Industry Scheme. 

However, the new industries of hairdressing and beauty and food and accommodation services will now join the Services Industry Scheme on 1 July 2026.
