From today, 1 April 2025, the Contract Cleaning Industry Scheme no longer exists as a separate scheme and has been rolled into the new Services Industry Scheme.

The new industries of hairdressing and beauty services and accommodation and food services, including hospitality services will join the scheme on 1 July 2026.

If you were previously registered in the Contract Cleaning Scheme, please ensure you update our contact details in your system with the new email address, services@actleave.act.gov.au. No other action is required from you—you have been automatically transferred into the new scheme.

There are no changes to employer obligations or worker entitlements under the new scheme.

Visit the Services Industry Scheme pages for more information.
