ACT Leave is pleased to announce that the ACT Leave Board has appointed Ms Cassandra Webeck to the role of Chief Executive Officer and Registrar for five years.  

With a career spanning the not-for-profit, higher education, and government sectors, Cassandra is a seasoned senior executive experienced in establishing and managing corporate operations, with expertise in governance, risk management, and compliance. As an experienced governance practitioner, Cassandra has served on several not-for-profit and higher education sector Boards and sub-committees where she has focused on building accountability, promoting continuous improvement, and supporting effective decision making. 

Cassandra has been a valued member of the ACT Leave team for four years, as Deputy Registrar between 2021-2024, before acting as Chief Executive Officer and Registrar from September 2024 until her appointment in September 2025.

The Services Industry Scheme has commenced!
From today, 1 April 2025, the Contract Cleaning Industry Scheme no longer exists as a separate scheme and has been rolled into the new Services Industry Scheme. 

The new industries of hairdressing and beauty services and accommodation and food services, including hospitality services will join the scheme on 1 July 2026.

There are no changes to employer obligations or worker entitlements under the new scheme.

Employee annual statements are now available on the Worker Portal 
Your employee annual statement shows the number of service days your employer has recorded for work you performed in a covered industry within the ACT in the previous financial year, as well as the wages that have been recorded for you.

We recommend checking your statement carefully, as any missing service or incorrect information may affect your entitlement.
