ACT Leave at the Small Business Expo

Earlier this month, ACT Leave exhibited at the inaugural Canberra Small Business Expo, which was a great way for us to speak with existing and prospective employers and workers about portable long service leave in the ACT.

Despite raining on and off all day, the event was a success, with a constant stream of people—including Minister Mick Gentleman—stopping by our stall. Attending the Expo and having the opportunity to chat with people about the portable long service leave schemes was an important step forward in solidifying our new brand identity, and increasing public awareness of ACT Leave ahead of the Services Scheme commencing next year.

The Expo was also an excellent opportunity for our staff to network with other government agencies and local organisations. Through our attendance, we gained insight into areas where we can provide further assistance, education and promotion to employers and workers in the ACT. Striving to be as accessible as possible ensures we are engaging with our stakeholders in the most efficient way, making portable long service leave easier for everybody involved.
